Should it score less because it doesn't include a wood joint or turned brass feature?. a lot of the projects that students want to produce can't necessarily be manufactured in a workshop using the traditional techniques which a lot of the D&T community seem desperate to hang on to. who decides what these making skills are?. it's approaching that time of year again when projects (NEA) are completed and submitted for assessment.I always struggle with the mark scheme when it comes to assessing final practical outcomes.the subject needs to move forward and lose the obsession with manufacturing a high quality 'final' piece which demonstrates 'exceptionally high making skills'.
